Private Projects
I love to create in my free time. Here are some examples.
Mean!
The webcomic Mean! is an action/romance passion project and celebrated its 3-year anniversary recently.
Each week I publish 5 new pages. So far there's up to 640 pages online. We celebrated with pride our 100th update.
This comic can be found on Tapas, Webtoons, Instagram, Tumblr and Deviantart! Future patreons wll get early access to the pre-sketched pages and extra content.
What's it about? A kind-hearted but extremely naive guy, Tate Orlandow, just transferred to a bigger college in his home town. There, he encounters a very blue and very mean newcomer, who appears to be widely disliked. As it turns out, M. Arson Garton is, on top of being a total antisocial jerk, a girl! And just Tates type too- strong, confident and honest. Tate, enjoying her company and valuing her as a friend keeps sticking around, despite her many attempts to get rid of him. As time goes on they encounter more bizarre adventures. Arson notices, that she's starting to catch some feelings. Thankfully Tate, still wearing rose-colored glasses, agrees to try out a serious relationship with her. What he doesn't seem to notice until the very last moment, is that their relationship quickly turns toxic. When his honeymoon-phase fades, she's left to shape up or lose him forever... It's teenage drama at its finest!

Here, especially, the difference between my first page created and the latest, shows just how much progress I've made so far!

Page 10, ironically created before page 1 as a color test
Page 640, published just last Friday

Lock up & Out
Also known simply as LUnO, this story is sort of a "remake" of an older, completed project. It's a fantasy/mystery webcomic for slightly older viewers.
After a longer hiatus, the comic will be rebooted in February 2023 and republished with new pages and a more comic-y artstyle.
What's it about? Horror engulfs a high security prison when Jasper de Leon, also known as the Rabbitman, is led through the gates to the cafeteria. Noone even dares to describe what he's locked up for, leaving a cocky newbie, Noah, to the conclusion, that this Rabbitman is just a run-of-the-mil bad guy. Noah starts to tease and bully him, as is custom. These actions bring Jasper to notice and remember him, despite being constantly sedated and guarded. Soon enough the Rabbitman escapes at night to visit Noah and...talk? Jasper wants to tell his story to an "untainted mind". As he explains all the gruesome things he's been through, he also gushes about his more-than-human roommate he had in his first prison. Noah questions the sanity of his conversation partner, but is soon caught up in something far bigger than he could imagine. Deaths are being covered up, the FBI starts casually visiting and the murderer receives mail from an unknown source claiming to be the Demon from Jaspers stories... Is Jasper lying through his teeth or is there actually a higher might at play?

Z-Party
Zombie movies used to be so scary back when the undead were still a new concept in cinema! But now everyone assumes the apocalypses will have a happy end and that humankind will find a cure- but what if they don't? What if their undead counterparts start becoming smarter and hungrier? And what if the story is told from the perspective of one of the mutated zombies? Z-party explores just that- an action-filled horror fantasy playing 3 years after the world ended in 2012.
Due to already working on multiple projects, this story is still a work in progress and can only be read in its sketched form. Hopefully when I'm done with one of the previous projects, I can start digitally remaking this too.
What's it about? After running every day for 3 years straight, Hermes Carter finds himself standing in a dead end. He's surrounded by zombies and mutants, only a dim light keeps them away from tearing him apart... or so he thought! The little mutant corpse right at the entrance to the room seems to deter the hungry hunters. Having no other options left, Hermes starts to stitch together the torn up body in an attempt to use it as a shield. Unbeknown to him, he just resuscitated a parasite- King, a short and frail-looking mutant harbours a hunger so big, that even other infected seem to be on its menu. Lucky for Hermes, this Zombie appears to still have the mind of a human...and clueless one at that!
